Minecraft Bedrock And Java Editions To Be Sold Together On PC

The Java Edition and the Bedrock Edition have been the two versions of Minecraft that are available for download on PC. That is set to change on June 7 , however, when the two versions will be sold together on PCs.

You might be wondering what this means for you. It's a minor difference.  minecraft servers  will now provide both versions of Minecraft in one package. This means that there is only one vanilla Minecraft version available on Windows. If you already own Bedrock or Java edition then there's no reason to fret. Mojang notes that all players who have either Java Edition or Bedrock Edition will receive the edition they don't currently own for free, right in the Minecraft Launcher. This could take up to three days to appear however.

Heading into the future, Jave and Bedrock will be separate games with separate features. The features are the same. The only difference is that you'll end up having both versions by default when you purchase Minecraft on your Windows PC Both versions are within the same launcher.

To remind you, although Java is only available to PC, Mac and Linux systems The Bedrock Edition is available on PC and mobile devices (Android, iOS, Windows 10 mobile and on numerous consoles, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and many more. Java is considered to be the more flexible version of Minecraft on PC in terms of mods however, it does not allow cross-platform play. Additionally the Java Edition has a higher performance threshold and tends look a little better on higher-end gaming PCs as opposed to the Bedrock Edition is designed to play smoothly, and generally features shorter load times.
